September 27, 2018 - Tioga County Association of Township Officials 114th Annual Convention (Whitneyville, PA)

Approximately 80 officials from Tioga County’s 23 townships attended the convention.  

  • County Commissioner Bunn talked about the significant impact the Act 13 funds from the oil & gas industry are having on the county.  
  • Mr. Dillon stated that if there ever was a new Severance Tax enacted in PA, it would not negatively the Act 13 funding the counties receive.  
  • State Rep. Owlett addressed HB2154 that would allow brine from conventional wells to be used as a de-icing material on township roads and county bridges.  
  • Mr. Sanko referenced that there are some jurisdictional issues related to pipelines that the counties and local governments need to work on with the state legislature in the upcoming session.

Rod Wilt, Keystone Energy Forum Director, was introduced by Susan Williams, Tioga Co. Township Officials President, and gave attendees a brief over-view of what the Keystone Energy Forum is and what we do.
