West Middlesex, PA

Seventy-five business leaders, elected officials and oil & gas industry representatives attended a Keystone Energy Forum hosted by The Shenango Valley and Lawrence County Chambers of Commerce and PennNorthwest Development Corporation on October 14, 2015 in West Middlesex, PA.  57 of 67 PA Counties were represented by elected officials.

Facilitated by Rod Wilt of the Keystone Energy Forum, other speakers included:

  • George Stark - Director of External Affairs, Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation, discussed the difference between wet & dry gas, production and take-away capacity and the need for better infrastructure to get Pennsylvania-produced products to market.
  • Sarah Barczyk - Director of Government & Community Relations, Columbia Pipeline Group & Columbia Midstream Group discussed pipeline projects that are planned or under construction in, or near, Mercer and Lawrence Counties.
  • Dan Brockett - Penn State Extension & Penn State Marcellus Education Team presented an extensive look into active wells and permitted wells in Mercer and Lawrence Counties. He also talked about business opportunities in the area, and the volume of data and resources available to business leaders interested in the local gas & oil industry. Finally, he took a lot of questions on the proposed Royal Dutch Shell Cracker Plant in Beaver County.
